Frustrated by the flood of low-quality imports filling the market, he set out to source the real thing: time-tested Japanese woodworking and garden tools made by established manufacturers in Japan, solid brass hardware with the weight and finish of a bygone era, and American-made shop tools from trusted names like C.S. Osborne and Lutz.

Alvarez Hardware was born from that search. Every product in our catalog has been personally evaluated for quality, accuracy of specification, and long-term reliability. We do not carry products we would not use ourselves.
